چکیده
This paper reports on asynchronous peer teaching in which learners create multimodal explanations or tutorials for future cohorts. Japanese of English work individually teams to produce video and audio explanations. Multimodal that meet the quality requirements are uploaded respective course websites housed university server. The aim is student audio-visual developers learn during creation process users from resources developed. Multimodal Authentication Using Asynchronous HMMs
It has often been shown that using multiple modalities to authenticate the identity of a person is more robust than using only one. Various combination techniques exist and are often performed at the level of the output scores of each modality system. In this paper, we present a novel HMM architecture able to model the joint probability distribution of pairs of asynchronous sequences (such as s...

One essential ingredient is the scale used to evaluate performance. A five-step systematic procedure for adapting, writing, and building any peer observation scale is described. متن کاملPeer-To-Peer architectures using Asynchronous Web services
In this paper, we describe Everyware, a platform for peer-to-peer applications based on Web services standards. It is conceived to support personal information sharing among peers using different devices and hardware infrastructure. Using open standards and a completely distributed approach, Everyware allows end users to deploy personal Web services easily without requiring configuration or adm...
متن کاملTeaching Economics Using an Asynchronous Learning Network
This paper reports on the development of an asynchronous learning environment for the teaching of introductory macroeconomics to approximately 200 distance education students in 1999. The research supports evidence in the current literature that computer mediated communication and in particular, collaborative learning, can make a positive difference to the educational experience of some student...
